Pretty Comfy: Paul Frank Slip Ons

There are probably 101 reasons why I love traveling abroad.

One of which is that I am able to discover stores which carry a bunch of hard-to-find pairs...at affordable prices.

Check out this Paul Frank Store I stumbled upon at Tam Sui in Taipei.

It was like heaven on earth for someone like me who loves colors as much as I love shoes.:)

Apart from shoes, the store also carries bags and some apparel and accessories.

One-stop-shop indeed.:)

Aren't these slippers adorable?

Flip Flops were never this fashionable.;)

And given all those and more...of course, who am I to resist such fabulous finds?

Yup, I got myself a pair. They have the cutest boxes I swear (with matching paper bags)

The last one available, in my size. Yup, serendipitous indeed.:)

I kinda liked its clean, streamlined look.

The green gives it a very nice contrast.:)

And the monkey's face...my, my...I love it!!!!

This pair brings out the child in me.:)

Its soft insoles are reminiscent of the plush shoes I had when I was a kid. Yup, that comfortable.;)

Overly excited over it, I wore the pair the next day.:)

Here's my chosen outfit during our trip to the Museum.:)

All went pretty well. The trip, the ensemble and everything else.:)

Thanks to my fierce pair from Paul Frank.:)

Gorgeous Giant: The Adidas King Kong

The window display was simply amazing.

I was not planning to drop by my favorite Adidas store in Trinoma but the window display made me change my mind in an instant (kudos to the team who worked on this).

Greeted by the already familiar staff members who inform me every now and then about the latest arrivals and the like, I hurriedly went to the area where the Adidas Jeremy Scott King Kong was displayed.

My, my. So fabulous! Made me want to buy a pair of this larger than life creation of Jeremy Scott.

I had to restrain myself though since I already had the JS Panda, which has a striking resemblance to the JS King Kong.

Aww. Caged cuties. Adorable!!!!

And not to mention, fashionable!

Darn it, I knew I shouldn't have entered the store.

I got myself yet another pair (another Jeremy Scott creation, not the King Kong).

Way before my scheduled SHOEpping day.

Oh well. With over 200 pairs and counting, I can never have enough shoes. haha!

Pearl Awards Porma with the Adidas Curb Neop

Alas, a much welcome break from it all. I mean, my social life was barely breathing due to work, among others...this rescue came in timely indeed.:)

I got invited by a friend to his company's awards night (For those asking, it's the Shell Pearl Awards). Of course, who am I to say no?!

And take note, only two guests per employee so I was really pressured to look my best. Para sulit invitation di ba?:)

Black tie dinner means time to dress up and wear something apart from the usual black tie. Hehe!

So I immediately took out a pair which came in mind instantaneously.

The Adidas Curb Neop.

"Porma" dress shoes made even more comfortable with its lycra like material.

Its neon red-orange shade makes it a perfect statement pair amidst a sea of black and grays.

Imagine the wonders it can do to a plain ensemble.

And with the extra laces that only add up to its quirkiness, you can be sure that this pair will command attention whether worn casually...or formally in this case.

Check out my chosen look.:)

Being a non-conformist did pay off, as I got the nods of some of the other guests:)

Thanks to my unconventional porma pair: the Adidas Curb Neop.:)

Going Gaga over Superga

Every now and then I stumble upon a new brand that tickles my fancy.

Call it serendipity when I came across Superga recently at the Mall of Asia.

Italian brand...hmm...in fairness, sosyal. Haha!

From afar, I already saw this dainty pair...enough for me to go inside and check the store out.

I swear, this pair gave me palpitations!

I like the minimalist approach of the store's interiors. Loving the lighting.:)

Most of the designs though were classic in nature but they do have avant-garde ones to look out for. Check out their flag based designs. To die for!

Wishing I could have a different pair of Superga to wear everyday. Haha!

Can't wait to have my first pair.:)

Check out the Superga Stores at Greenbelt, Eastwood and Mall of Asia.
