A PAIRfect Mother's Day Tribute

Mother's Day is just around the corner. On sunday, to be exact. May 8.

It's the perfect excuse to bond in an extra special way with my mom. And my favorite Tita Virgie as well. Not that we don't do it on a regular basis. :) I mean, I know you get my point. Think about say, Christmas. Christmas for Moms and Mom-likes. Hehe.

Anyway, I already made plans about my little surprise for these two women who top my list. But just this morning, upon waking up, I just thought of going the extra mile.

If I can blog about shoes, I can also blog about people who mean so much to me.

So I decided to make this entry as a tribute to both of them.

But going beyond mushy words, I will just dedicate a pair of shoe for each wish I have for them.

Note: I do not intend to buy all the pairs mentioned here. I am not that rich. These are just representations of my wishes for them. And besides, having other SHOEpaholics in the family can spell bankruptcy. Plus I don't intend to share space in my shoe closet. Hehe.

So here goes my PAIRfect wishes for them:

A colorful pair of Journey is the Destination Toms Shoes to remind them to continuously touch lives and leave their marks on them, much like what they did with mine.

A funky pair of Jeremy Scott Gold Wings Shoes so that they may rise above the golden years with much grace and ease.

An elegant pair of Charles and Keith Satin killer heels to help them stand tall (and fierce) amidst the daily challenges life may bring.
A cute and comfortable pair of Lacoste Marthe Espadrilles so they may take time to enjoy life to the fullest without much pressure nor worries.
A pair of the Adidas Mi CC Ride for good health and well-being. It wouldn't hurt seeing them both fierce, fit and fabulous at 50 +++:)

And lastly, an avant-garde pair of make-believe shoes so as to assure them that it's never too late to fulfill their dreams, whatever they may be. As long as they have me included in the big picture. Haha.

 So there.

I guess it wouldn't hurt if I share these pairs (and my wishes) with all the mothers out there. :)

Thank you for making this world a better place to live in.:)

And to my mom and Tita Virgie, you two are worth more than these pairs (and the ones I have at home. Ayan ha, that much.:) ).

Indeed, priceless gifts from HIM upstairs.

 I love you both. :) Happy Mother's Day! :)

Working for my Wish List: Adidas Inspired

One of my favorite websites to visit is www.adidas.com.

I love checking out the latest apparels, shoes and accessories from this brand that's really close to my heart.

As part of my usual daily routine, I would scan their website in search for pairs to include in my wish list.

Believe it or not, by doing such, I get motivated to work harder so I can afford to buy the pairs I want.

As shallow as it may seem, it works for me. Really.

While of course the cliche' notion will always apply e.g. me being inspired by my friends, family and loved ones and all those in need, shoes also do have the same effect on me.

Yup, will work hard for these pairs from Adidas. Apparently, they are already available in the local market so am keeping my fingers crossed that I may be able to get a hold of them soon.

In random order:

The Adidas Court Adapt Synthetic

Perfectly quirky. Reminds me of an updated (and in this case, far more fabulous) version of Crocs.

The Adidas Bluff Textile

Sleek and stylish. I love the contrasting colors. Being a lover of loafers and boat shoes, this pair is a must on my wish list.

The Adidas Stan Smith 80s Lux

So FFFFFFFUUUUUUURRRRRYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!

The Adidas SML Concept

So Much Lovely, Perhaps?

And the Adidas Toe Touch Textile

This will definitely make  Rainbow Brite turn green with envy. Summer vibes written all over this pair!

I have yet to complete my new wish list since I have to rush to work in a few.

But admittedly, I am very inspired.

To work harder for any of these pairs from Adidas. :)

An Open Letter to Santa: Adidas Edition

In my previous post, i have mentioned that I love Jeremy Scott.

Well...not him exactly, but his out of this world creations for adidas.

And his newest one, the OBYO is no exception.

Available at Adidas Greenbelt 3 Store since November 27.

And its already December 13, and still, I don't have a pair.:(

I am hoping to get one this Christmas.

Or even before that.

So here's my open letter to Santa.

"Dear Santa, if you could hear me, please send me a pair of this winged wonder. Size 9.5 will be fine. Any color will do, though a flambouyant one will definitely make me 10 times happier. I have been a very good boy lately, and I haven't bought any pair recently (recently: last 3 days). I promise to show my friends and loved ones your gift once I receive it. "

"Oh Santa, if you still have room in your sleigh and its not much to ask, kindly ask adidas if they have this cute pair from Jeremy Scott. This Teddy Bear series brings out the kid in me. I promise not to be a brat though. And yes, it's a size 9.5. "

"Prrrttttt...Oops, wait a minute Santa. Can I add something else if your elves won't mind wrapping it up?
You see, I was supposed to spend my Christmas in Hong Kong but I had to cancel due to a conflict in schedule. I was deadset on going to Disneyland once more but now that there have been changes in plans, I would have to settle for something else...well, something close to that experience. So while I was surfing the net, I came across this pair from Jeremy Scott. Yes, it would still be the same size as before. Would it be much of a hassle? I hope not. These pair would definitely be the happiest ones I will ever have (well that is until Jeremy Scott manages to come up with something to top this!)...enough to help me get over my cancelled trip to the happiest place on earth.  Please? "

"Thank you Santa. I hope that God (you know him right?)  will bless you and Adidas in the years to come. Mwah. Thanks. Much Love, Myke."

Love at first sight (online edition)

...And suddenly my hand clicked on the google search button.

Lo and behold, i had to catch my breath when I saw the next images.

I think I'm in love.

The purple and yellow pair made my heart skip a beat.

This winged beauty made my heart soar.

And this soothing find made my heart dive great depths.

I love you Adidas Jeremy Scott Spring Collection 2010.

I hope we can have a date soon.
