Fierce Fashion: Leopard Loafers from Mundo Shoes

I think I failed to mention in my previous post that as part of my Lenten sacrifice, I will not buy any pair of shoes until the Holy Week is over and done with and all the Easter Eggs have been found.

So the entire egg hunting inspired me....

What I did though, on one lazy saturday, I took out a new pair.

Well, just to make me feel better since I was already experiencing widrawal symptoms. Haha!

Check out this pair of Leopard Loafers from Mundo Shoes.

Eye-catching indeed. As fierce as its namesake.

Doesn't bite though. Haha! If I may put it into context, I never did have any painful experience wearing it. Soft insoles.

So here's my chosen look while torturing myself at the mall. haha!

Another two weeks wouldn't hurt.

I hope.

Geez. And the huge sale sign at the back didn't help.

Lord help me. haha!

Following my Faith: Adidas Fluid Trainer at the Monasterio De Tarlac

Contrary to popular belief, I am quite religious.

I may not look nor dress the part, but I really am.

That is why when I got invited to go on a roadtrip to the Monasterio De Tarlac, I immediately agreed.

I heard so much about it. I mean Kris Aquino has been mentioning how magical the experience was when you visit the place and see the fragment of Jesus Christ's cross.

Imagine my excitement. :)

So I immediately brought out my new pair.

It's from Adidas: The Fluid Trainer.

In Gray and Lime Green. I just love the contrast.

Earthly hues perfect for the natural scenery that I will see during the long drive (around 4 hours from Manila).

And with its soft cushion and flexible soles, I don't have to worry about any pain nor swelling.:)

Plus I heard that the place allows one to commune with nature, over hills and through the greens, so better ready than sorry. :)

When I got there, I could barely speak.

It was so beautiful.

Atop the hill was a magnificent statue of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Brazil much!!!!

Everywhere I looked, it was calm and peaceful.

Few visitors here and there. Chirping of the birds everywhere.

Indeed, it was a beautiful place of worship.

Got goosebumps when I went inside to venerate.

I even cried during the mass. The songs were really touching.

And the total experience....

was simply breathtaking.

It was a one-of-a-kind trip indeed.

Minus the hassles or worries.

With the Adidas Fluid Trainer.

Zoobic Adventure with the Nike Harbour Canvas

The sudden invitation got me all excited. :)

Enough for me to take out a new pair. Haha!

You see, my Tita Virgie got a very good rate for the Penthouse Suite at The Lighthouse Hotel in Subic.

So that means I couldn't miss this chance to go on a splendid vacation.

But more than the posh accommodation, I really wanted to go to Zoobic to commune with nature. Haha!

It's like hitting two birds with one stone. I love it!.

So anyway, my most awaited day came so I took out a new pair to take with me in this adventure.

The Nike Harbour Canvas...Para bagay na bagay ang harbour sa Lighthouse.  Yun na!

A cute slip on with one of the softest cushioned insoles I have ever experienced.

The cool blue shade and the contrasting white hue are reminiscent of the pristine waters of the beach facing the hotel.

Casual. Trendy. So me. So Go! Haha!

Anyway, upon getting to Subic after a 3-hour drive via SCTEX (where a portion of the road seems like it was lifted from the scene in the horror flick Wrong Turn), my family and I finally arrived in Subic.

As you know, apart from shoes, I totally love coffee. So breakfast at Xtremely Xpresso was a must.

Check out this serendipitous cup I got. Swak!

After the sumptuous feast, we headed off to Zoobic, a 30-minute drive from where we were.

My, My...I was greeted by this pair of large Toucans. Quite a sight to behold.

In fairness, I didn't have to travel far to feed camels. This baby is such a cutie. :)

The Tiger Adventure. I'm not really much into gore and stuff but seeing a huge cat gobble on free snacks was something I enjoyed despite the deafening screams of those beside me. Haha! Hello, may cage naman di ba?!

I love this shot. Feeling ko photographer na ako. Haha!

Pretty snake. Pretty Deadly.

Oh and the lazy crocs. That one behind me seemed to love the picture-taking. Smiling. Haha!

So after seeing a hundred animals or so, we decided to head back to our hotel.

But of course, we didn't get to rest at once.

Because I had to pester them on getting a beautiful shot of the horizon with the sunset backdrop.

But hey, it was all worth it. :)

The coffee, the zoo adventure, the fabulous hotel...and my Nike Harbour Canvas. :)

MOA-Eye Candy: The Adidas Micropacer

I recently got invited to try out the MOA-Eye. And at first I was like, "MOA what?!"

Apparently, it was the tallest Ferris Wheel in the Philippines.

Quite similar to the ones in London (which incidentally carries the same name-sake, so much for originality---but then again, it's more fun in the Philippines. Haha!) and in Singapore (Singapore Flyer), this Ferris Wheel allows you to enjoy the breathtaking view of the bay and...the billboards at the Mall of Asia. A 10 minute-oh-so-slow ride that makes you think whatever happened to the P150 you paid. Haha! But not bad, for a first timer.:))

I got really excited so I brought out another pair which I haven't worn yet.

The Adidas Micropacer. :)

MOA-Eye Candy with its colorful stripes that commands attention and admiration. :)

More of a running shoe actually that has a built in timer for accurate pacing.

Laces hidden underneath, which makes it an ideal running pair minus the worries about loose strings.

Highly versatile as the colors match well with any top or bottom possible.

I threw in a casual shirt and jeans and voila...I was all set.:)

My, my....the MOA-Eye was really tall up close.

Here's the shot of me on board one of the airconditioned gondolas, enjoying the high life...literally...at over 180 ft something above the ground.

Now that's a most-welcome break from my usual busy, fast-paced life.

With the Adidas Micropacer.:)
